Oriental medicine is a refined health care system that has been used for thousands of years to diagnose and treat illness, prevent disease, and improve well being. Quantum physics has recently determined that humans are complex bioelectric systems, yet this understanding has been the foundation of Oriental medicine for millennia. The therapies utilized stimulate the vital energies inherent within all living things thereby promoting the body's ability to heal itself. It is an effective treatment for physical, psychological, and emotional disorders.

A practitioner of Oriental medicine does not simply look for disease in the body but rather looks for imbalances of the body, mind, and spirit that cause disease. The condition for which you are seeking help exists within that imbalance and dissipates once that balance is restored. The practitioner's intent is to enhance the body's innate healing response to promote health rather than to suppress symptoms or pathogens. In this way, disease is resolved naturally.

In the United States, practitioners of Oriental medicine receive over 2500 hours of training leading to a Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine. Schooling includes: Western medical science: pathology, treatment of disease, psychology, medical ethics, interpretation of laboratory data; basic science: chemistry, biochemistry, surface anatomy, anatomy and physiology; Oriental medical theory; Acupuncture, Chinese herbal prescriptionology; adjunctive therapies: moxibustion, cupping, gwa sha, Tui Na, electro-acupuncture, ear acupuncture;Tai Chi & Qi Gong; and Chinese & Western nutrition. The therapies utilized in Oriental medicine include Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Prescriptions, and Adjunctive Therapies.
